The people that gave you Obama two terms are doing it again. Convincing people to vote for their candidate and ignoring the one supporting freedom and liberty. Got to ask yourself why?

That mantra ("the only one supporting freedom and liberty") is wearing thin. You got anything better? Like I said before, RP1 and RP2 have their base but that base does not grow and neither is incapable of getting the middle 3d of the electorate that it takes to win the election. Just like the idiots on the left gave us Obama, I fear the idiots on the right are going to give US Trump. The best thing RP and some of the other lower tier folks can do right now is find a niche and start working to get themselves into the Administration and then try to advance some of their ideas there. Better yet, they get behind Cruz or Rubio and help them take down the "giant". I would vote for any of the current GOP candidates, including RP, but I really don't see myself being able to pull the lever for Trump.

"Just like the idiots on the left gave us Obama, I fear the idiots on the right are going to give US Trump." It is not the idiots on the left or right but the people who control the idiots who give us Obamas Clintons, Sanders and Trumps. The freedom and liberty set forth in the Constitution is the only thing that will save this country. A leader that understands this is a threat to the the status quo. As long as people are willing to give up freedoms for imagined security our president will be elected by the idiots. Doesn't matter which side they are on. Maybe today is the day it will change. I doubt it.

Well he got his 4-5%. While that might be significant in a 3 person race where he could be a king maker it means very little in a field this large. What his minions need to understand is how much more poorly he did compared to RP1 there in 2012. That means that the vote for the RPs is not any indication of the number of people who truly support their ideas but rather just that there is a large segment of folks who are no happy with the status quo. This time they had other candidates to direct their support to without having to "settle" for RP. Face it, you can couch it in any terms you want, but the libertarian message does not resonate with the huge majority of the electorate. Either work with someone else who shares some of your beliefs or face another 4 - 8 years of the Left.
